I'm a teacher in search of demo materials for my lessons. How can I make best use of this site?
First of all, check if Filmjungle has got what you are looking for. Write the name of the species, location or phenomenon you want to find in the search box and view the videos that come up. If you have found videos that you can use and you don't want to search for them again when you need them next,
create a playlist. Another advantage of a playlist is that you can access it (for example during your lesson) by clicking on just one button on the website. In order to do this, first go through registration to get a user name and password. If you have these, you can list your choice of videos and attach titles and comments to your list. I can't find a species, what can I do?
Unfortunately, our collection of species will remain incomplete for quite a while. Still, the inventory is constantly extended, so it's worth visiting from time to time. If you can't find the species you're looking for, click on the Filmjungle channel of videa.hu, where you find a slightly wider range of species. Also, if a particular species is important for you, email us and if we have videos of it, we will shortlist it for uploading so that it can jump the long queue of recordings waiting to be uploaded.
Why was this website created? In order to collect as many nature documentary videos as possible on one single website. In order for film makers to be able to share their recordings with an audience. In order for teachers to be able to find demo materials to illustrate their lessons. In order for the viewers to be able to choose from as many videos as possible so that they realise that they can become nature documentary makers themselves.
Who can use the website? It is for those interested in the wonders of the natural world but not in the nature at the moment to see them for themselves, while at a computer with internet connection.
How to make films if I don't have a camera? Borrow one quick... But if you can't don't give up either, just follow the instructions under the heading "Make a film" below.
Is it worth to upload one good video or should I create a short movie to upload using several recordings? If your recording is interesting and exciting in itself, don't hesitate to upload it. However, if the video is difficult to make sense of in its raw form and needs editing so that it can be understood, it's worth to spend time editing it.
